Raef Hodgson's wine bar and modern European kitchen tucked inside the Gergovie Wines warehouse, with chef Steve Williams (ex-Ledbury, ex-Harwood Arms) turning out a weekly-changing chalkboard of small plates. A no-bookings room of ~30 covers built for long, slow sessions through a 120+ bin natural wine list.
Walk-in only with ~30 covers on long shared high tables. Best shot is lunch Thu-Sat from 12, dinner queues form before the 5:30 open.
The list is 100% low-intervention. If you want a polished classical Burgundy or a clean New World Chardonnay, this isn't the room, the funk isn't for everyone.
Hard surfaces, exposed brick, vaulted ceiling. It gets loud once the room fills, and trains rumble overhead, part of the charm, not a quiet date.
